About NLC

Since its founding in 1993, Northwest Lineman College (NLC) has been devoted to delivering the benchmark standard of training in the Power Delivery Industry, educating more industry trade professionals annually than any other educational institution in the United States.

NLC Instructors

At Northwest Lineman College, instructors are considered the spine of the company. They are shaping the power delivery industry with every student they teach. We have designed special maroon shirts that only our instructors are allowed to wear. NLC does not sell maroon shirts; they must be earned. We call our instructors “maroons” and we hope the shirt fits you as well.

As an NLC instructor, you will deliver both classroom and field training in a variety of subject areas using curriculum developed specifically by NLC. Your students will include pre-apprentices, apprentices, journey-level line workers and crew leaders employed in the trade across the nation, and sometimes throughout the world.

Oroville, CA

NLC selected Oroville as the location for our California campus because of its remarkable location. Affordable housing, hunting, fishing, rural community, snow skiing, waterskiing, mountains and lakes are just the beginning of what Oroville and the surrounding area have to offer. Most of the instructors and staff at our California-based campus live in a town called Paradise.

Sacramento, Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe and Reno are less than three hours away from Oroville. Chico is just a 20-minute drive from Oroville and is considered the cultural, economic and educational center of the northern Sacramento Valley.
